Communications Line Laying

 

The IDES Line Laying Module (LLM) provides a unique, deployable, vehicle mounted, communications line laying and retrieval capability. IDES LLMs are in service with the Australian Defence Force meeting extreme climatic and operational requirements including helicopter under slung load and aircraft air transportability.

The LLM enables laying cables between deployed communications nodes and can be customised to integrate with light or medium logistics vehicles.

The LLM system includes:

  • Modular Design suitable for any vehicle cab-chassis platforms
  • Compatible with all types of communications cables
  • Integrated cable stowage and material handling equipment
  • Integrated Roll Over Protection System (ROPS)
  • High levels of operator ergonomics
