IDES DELIVERS COMMUNICATIONS ON THE MOVE CAPABILITY TO ADF

  

Melbourne based Integrated Design and Engineering Solutions Pty Ltd (IDES) delivered Communications on the Move capability to the Australian Defence Force as an Operationally Urgent Requirement (OUR) solution.

Battlespace Communications Operations Group (BCOG) engaged IDES to design, integrate and supply thirty-plus Communications Vehicle Installation Kits (VIKs).

The project started late August 2017 and was successfully delivered prior to Christmas 2017 (Just under 4 months!)

IDES undertook structured Defence Systems Engineering development process supported by sequentially gated milestone design review gates (SDR through to DDR, FCA/PCA) to deliver the effective and optimised solution VIKs.

IDES welcomed the direct engagement with BCOG and a truly integrated project team approach with BCOG’s personnel to deliver this project. This reduced the risk to the CoA by ensuring clear communication and result in delivered VIKs that are fully suited to user requirements and capability needs.

IDES has extensive, proven experience with integration of FP-ECM and Communications systems in both civilian and military vehicle platforms.

All IDES staff are Australian citizens with Technical and PM staff holding current Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Clearances.
