IDES MAINTAINS MOBILE PROOF GUN MOUNTS FOR DEFENCE

Integrated Design and Engineering Solutions (IDES) conducted detail specialist maintenance and services on the IDES delivered 36 ton 5”/54 – 127mm (MK 39) Mobile Proof Gun Mounts (MPGMs) used for proofing ammunition for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

The maintenance was conducted by specialist IDES personnel in accordance with the IDES User Hand Book servicing schedule.

Additionally IDES designed and commissioned a dedicated portable Gun Hydraulic Power Pack Unit and custom Maintenance Work Platform exceeding Commonwealth requirements.

As the Design Authority for the MPGMs, IDES’ in-depth and thorough understanding of the MPGMs in terms of design, high stress concentration, functionality and maintainability, provides risk reduction to the Commonwealth in undertaking maintenance activities and ensures ongoing safe operation throughout its Life of Type (LoT).

IDES further demonstrated its ability to support it’s designed and fielded systems wherever they are deployed.
